In-person support available within a 1 hour drive of Downtown Berryville.
First consultation is complimentary. Pregnancy and Childbirth are a very intimate time in a woman’s life. Whether you are moving from Maidenhood into Motherhood or you are giving birth to your tenth child, It is important to make sure your Doula is the perfect fit. Each Doula has something different to offer and it is important your needs are met.
You should anticipate about an hour and a half for the consultation.
We will talk about: The role of a Doula. My trainings and why I love this work. Why you decided you want a Doula. As well as your expectations surrounding birth(home vs hospital, medications or not, etc).
Birth is not only about making babies. It is about making mothers- strong, capable, competent mothers who trust themselves and know their strength.
Offerings
Doula Support Package
- Complimentary Meet and Greet -with Dad in tow! To determine we are a good fit. (1.5-2 hours)
- 1:1 Prenatal Yoga Classes – Monthly at Soulshine Medicine Shala(located in downtown Berryville, VA) for the entirety of your pregnancy. These classes include Cildbirth Education and Labor Prep! (1-1.5 hours each class)
- Dad as Doula – a training for both parents. Dad joins mom for the last two meetings before birth for this training. (1.5 hours)
- Phone/text support throughout your pregnancy.
- Labor and Birth
- 2 Post-Partum Visits (2 hours each)
- Breastfeeding Support
- Referrals to other professionals and support groups in the area
Investment of $1,600
I offer my services for free to two families each year. If you are not able to pay this price, please reach out to me about discounted/free services.
Dad as Doula
- For Mamas 36-42 weeks along
- Mom and Dad/Partner attend these 2 sessions together
- Labor Discussion- stage one, transition phase, stage two, and stage three.
- Pelvic Positioning- allowing optimal movement of baby down and out of the birth canal.
- Counterpressure and Jiggling Techniques
- Discussion- this will vary depending on location of birth(home vs hospital)
Investment of $150
These sessions are an hour and a half long each. They can be held at my studio in Berryville, or at your home for an added fee.
We are all such unique Beings. It seems fair to say that everyone’s journey will look a little different. But no matter who you are or where you are today, it won’t be easy.
